Mercer County Encourages Public to Attend Comprehensive Plan Workshops
Mercer County
is hosting several community meetings in order to gather citizen input on the county’s comprehensive plan draft. All residents, business owners, and other interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend one or more of the meetings, which are being held at the following locations and days (all meetings are from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the location and date noted below):
• Spanishburg School ( 8544 Beckley Road, Spanishburg, WV ) - TUESDAY, JANUARY 17TH
• Oakvale School (2503 Goodwin’s Chapel Rd, Princeton, WV 24740) TUESDAY, JANUARY 17TH
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18TH
• Bluewell United Methodist Church (228 Warden Ave, Bluewell, WV 24701) - THURSDAY, JANUARY 19TH
• Concord University, Concord State Room located in the Beasley Center (Vermillion Ave., Athens, WV 24712) - THURSDAY JANUARY 19TH
The meetings will be in an open house format to accommodate citizens’ schedules. Interested persons can stop by the venues at any time between 6-8pm on the scheduled evenings to offer ideas, voice concerns, and help formulate a vision for the future of Mercer County.
Representatives from Mercer County’s Planning Commission and the Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Clinic at the WVU College of Law will be available to answer questions and take comments.
